Eunice roussaei, mid-body parapodium, a) cross section through parapodial base; b) semi-transparent volume rendering; c) opaque volume rendering; d) volume rendering of chaetae.

Sample preparation:
Specimen was fixed and preserved in 96% ethanol. Prior to scanning, a parapod was dissected and it was desiccated with Hexamethyldisilazane. The dried sample was fixed in a piece of styrofoam for scanning.

Scanning parameters:
Scanner: SkyScan 1172
Voltage/ Current: 60kV/ 167µA
Filter: None
Nr of projection images: 1440
Rotation step: 0.25°
